WHAT WE DO
WARR Focuses on several areas including:
WARR fosters awareness of the perils of breast cancer through hands-on outreach programs by creating liaisons with women of the Diaspora beginning in United States and the Caribbean.
While still maintaining its fight against breast cancer, WARR has also taken the role of providing free health care to men, women, and children in Jamaica by securing medical practitioners, volunteers and provide all patients with on-site medical care, and pertinent medication to enhance his or her immediate health
WARR Supports Academically and provide Health Related Program at an all-girl’s High School also, in the parish of St. Mary. Not only donating, hygienic and school supplies, but during their annual visits will have one or two Pedestrians to respond to the students’ questions.
Facilitated breast cancer educational seminars for over several thousand adults and teens in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.
Provided direct financial assistance for medical services, including mammograms, surgeries, prescriptions, follow-up physician care, and transportation for thousands of individuals.
Held Breast Cancer and Women of the Diaspora Seminar that impacted over 10,000 individuals
Conducted workplace outreach and education luncheon seminars attended by hundreds of people.
Continue to participate in the National Baptist Memorial Church Ward 1 community-wide health fair
In collaboration with National Baptist Memorial Church, support their bi-monthly Foodbank
Working jointly with National Baptist Memorial Church, support their community cloth closet food drive and distribution to the underserved residence
Supported other well know organizations such as The American Cancer Society and The Susan G. Komen Foundations.
Host Annual Fundraising event, during which past Medical Team Members are honored and recognized along with all sponsors and supporters
